This jacket is not in fashion, but I think it is a total classic

Have you ever flipped through a fashion magazine to be informed that your most precious piece of clothing is now, in fact, “old news”? It’s as if the simple reversal of time and the creation of new trends lead to the obsolescence of everything that came before. No, that doesn’t make sense to me either. I think it takes real self-confidence to wear what you want to wear, no matter how relevant (or irrelevant) it is to the current fashion cycle, which is why I decided to write about my love for the humble biker jacket.

You know a piece of clothing has gone off the fashion radar when you have a hard time finding images of that style on Instagram (the above is a very old photo from Lucy Williams’ news feed). Still, I’ve been wearing biker jackets since I was 18, back in the days of Kate Moss’s perfect sets, black skinnies, and leather jackets. While their popularity has slowly waned in recent years, I remain true to the biker jackets cause, whether through a rugged style of Scotch & Soda that I bought at a sample sale 4 years ago. years, or a more recent suede acquisition from All Saints.

The beauty of the biker is that anyone can wear it, whether you’re 17 or 70, and there are enough varied fabrics and cuts to suit any occasion. So really what I’m trying to say is, if you like something, don’t let it go, especially if it’s just because someone else is telling you. Well, I’m glad we fixed this. So, to celebrate my unwavering love for the biker, I took a jacket and created 4 outfits that I plan to wear in the coming months. Scroll down to view and purchase my looks.
