Two new businesses are now open on Main Street in downtown Chappell Hill.
The Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated the opening of the Kippers Kountry store and the Chupacabra Leather Company by delivering welcome baskets filled with local produce, a potted plant and a Texas flag.
Kippers Kountry Store, owned by Scott and Kelly Atwood, has an assortment of country-style gifts and other items such as nostalgic candles, t-shirts, caps, canned vegetables, and fancy ice cream.

Chupacabra Leather Company, founded by longtime friends Steve Mooreland and Stefan Akers, sells handmade leather products, from knife scabbards to gun holsters, as well as belts to put them on.
Chamber Speaker Joel Romo said the Chamber is thrilled to welcome these two new businesses and looks forward to seeing the community grow.
