Mercedes-Maybach GLS Class S Edition 100 unveiled



The Mercedes-Maybach GLS Edition 100 will be equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 developing 557 hp, while the S-Class Edition 100 will derive its power from a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 developing 612 hp.

Mercedes-Maybach is the epitome of automotive luxury, and Maybach is now celebrating the centenary of its very first product. To commemorate the special occasion, Mercedes-Maybach presented a special edition variant for two of the most luxurious offerings the German automaker sells in the world – GLS and S-Class.

Mercedes-Maybach has unveiled the 100 edition of the limited-edition models of the two luxury cars, which adds an extra layer of comfort and adds additional perks to the already long list. Limited to 100 units each, the GLS and S-Class Edition 100 are finished in the same hand painted Cirrus Silver & Nautical Blue.

The Mercedes-Maybach brand logo as well as the Edition 100 inscription can be seen on the C-pillar of the S-Class special edition and the D-pillar of the GLS special edition. Both cars receive a unique set of forged alloy rims in gray color. The interior features a special leather design which can be available in crystal white or pearl silver gray.Mercedes-Maybach GLS S-Class Edition 100-4Edition 100 models will also be offered with a car cover featuring the iconic Mercedes-Maybach double M logo, as well as a handcrafted filing case in soft crystal white or black leather. This case can be used to store vehicle documents or even car keys. Additionally, special edition cars are also more soundproof than their regular counterparts.

Apart from that, Mercedes-Maybach has also partnered with Robbe & Berking, the German silver cutlery, hollowware and bar manufacturing company to offer silver champagne flutes with special engraving. There is also a fountain pen with an 18k gold nib, 100 diamonds and a mother of pearl cap, created in collaboration with its licensing partner, Maybach Icons of Luxury.Mercedes-Maybach GLS S-Class Edition 100-2Under the hood, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 Edition 100 houses a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine developing 557 horsepower, while the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 Edition 100 uses a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine that generates 612 hp. . Both cars come standard with Mercedes-Benz’s 4Matic all-wheel drive system.
