Hermès launched its spring 2022 ready-to-wear collection in a frenzy of structured textures and sophisticated silhouettes. The French fashion house showcased its latest collection in a hangar turned into a runway, opting for a circular runway where guests sat in the middle to view the looks as models walked around them.

Artistic Director Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski continues her heritage at Hermès with a stunning spring collection, invoking the feeling of a changing season. With neutral tones, rich terracotta, pastel oranges, and blacks and whites, the collection’s light color palette offered a sense of practicality and serenity.

The quality of the clothing at Hermès level was visible to all, with beautiful jackets with high-end stitching and embroidery, dresses and mini-skirts that stopped the hem at the perfect length and combinations inviting playfulness.

With each change of song, the vibe of the collection also changed, from bold leather pieces with studs to dresses and light skirt sets oozing plumb.

Instantly catching our attention, only one fabric prevailed throughout the collection: leather. The buttery leather flowed on the track, taking shape in all possible silhouettes and colors. Jackets, tank tops, skirts, shorts, pants, shoes, belts, bracelets and of course, handbags. Hermès leather is known for its craftsmanship and longevity and in these forms we can only assume that they will get even better over time.

The boat necklines and racer back give an elegant essence to the collection, combining with the intricate patterns and textures of the garments.

Accessories have their day, including cylindrical handbags with a hard metal handle, leather platform gladiator sandals, earrings and chunky chain necklaces.

The end of the show brought all the models together in front of the audience ‘on stage’, as giant doors opened behind them, revealing plenty of places where planes took off and landed in the background, signifying the potential for wonder. and adventure constantly happening.
