Experts were quick to dissect the contents of the Duchess of Cambridge’s purse after a candid snapshot shared on Twitter laid it all bare.
At first glance, Prince William and Kate Middleton might have looked like everyday commuters as they walked along the platform of a busy UK train station earlier this week.
Arriving in Glasgow, Scotland ahead of the COP26 climate change conference, the Duchess of Cambridge cut a relaxed silhouette with black skinny jeans, a green quilted waistcoat and a gray sweater.
In a photo posted to Network Rail’s Twitter account, the mother of three was pictured carrying a £ 645 (AU 11,775) Smythson tote bag.
And if you look very closely, you can guess what Kate takes with her on her duty.
The most visible thing in the black leather bag is a silver folder – suggesting the Duchess was working for the five hour trip.
Along with that, Kate also packed her laptop for her few days in Glasgow.
But those aren’t the only items the 39-year-old has packed for a busy week of royal duties.
Royal author Marcia Moody, who wrote Kate: A Biography, previously said the Duchess always carries four other essentials in her daily handbags.
The first is a compact mirror – likely to check her makeup is on point, reports Mama mia.
Kate also wears a trusty lip balm as well as a sheet of blotting paper – typically used to remove excess oil or sweat from the face.
In addition, the Duchess always has a handkerchief on hand when needed.
The expert also claims that the avid photographer is often known to keep a camera in her bigger bags in case she wants to capture some candid shots.
