Drive Electric Day: a dizzying range of electric vehicles under the Florida sun

Drive Electric Earth Day (DEED) Day is a national campaign to share information about electric vehicles throughout the month of April. On Sunday, April 10, it was held at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach, Florida. I traveled there in my new Polestar 2 to meet other EV owners and see the exciting cars and sales people there.

This Dodge Charger was converted to an EV using Tesla motors and batteries.

This Polestar 2 in “Snow” is fitted with special 20″ forged alloy wheels with the “Performance Pack”, which includes Brembo brakes (in bright yellow) and Ohlins dual-flow valve shocks. ‘inside you can see the special yellow seat belts too.

Naturally, Tesla owners dominated the show, with plenty of Model 3s, Model Ys and Model Ss.

This color is absolutely stunning and the bright purple is my wife’s favorite.

This cyan-colored Tesla is a very sharp car, and you’ll definitely see it coming.

This BMW is magnificent and drew crowds.

This smaller BMW i3 is extremely cute and will get you in and out of tight parking spaces.

The interior of the BMW i3 was truly plush and classy.

The BMW i4 is absolutely stunning and a real crowd pleaser.

This Ford Mustang Mach E, presented by the local Broward County government, had its trunk open.

This Polestar 2 is a special Launch Edition car, in the “Barley” color scheme, equipped with Plus and Pilot Pack, and a leather interior.

Well, someone’s a 1970s Buck Rogers fan.
